The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner will be shut down for at least four weeks before the team decides on a further course of action. Analysis: DeGrom shouldn't be expected to return before early June, a major blow for a Mets team with big designs in 2022. It's the second straight season the ace right-hander will miss significant time with an injury, as he missed the entire second half of 2021 due to tightness in his forearm. |
